The woman – and her team- behind the work
Meet Erin
Award winning design.

Erin Sparler
Founder & Designer
I’m Erin Sparler, a multidisciplinary Artist, Director, Product Designer, and Educator with over two decades of experience bridging the gap between traditional fine art and commercial production. Guided by the CARVE Method, I serve as an all-in-one creative partner for my clients, seamlessly blending commercial photography with fine art training to create production ready print files.
My work relies on hands-on creativity—where every project is anchored in real-world references and original sketches before being meticulously engineered into production-ready digital files. From inventing award-winning 3D Tunnel Books for museum gift shops to designing bespoke architectural illustrations for luxury real estate, my goal is always to turn authentic, hand-crafted concepts into high-impact, commercially viable products.

Bella
Owner Walker & Creative Catalyst
Named after the iconic Fleetwood Mac album, Bella Donna is my “underfoot supervisor.” But she’s more than just a mat dog—she is a vital part of my design practice.
When a design project hits a wall, we head out for a hike. Whether we are trekking up the mountain or wandering though the wood, those miles of fresh air and nature are where I often find the solution to a tricky layout or the inspiration for a new concept.
She’s my sanity grounder and my favorite sounding board—even if she does decide she’s done hiking after exactly ten minutes to prioritize a nap in the shade.

Artist Statement: The Modern Creative Practice
My work is built on a simple belief: great design starts with research, references and sketching. By blending the unique character created by traditional art techniques with the refinement and precision of digital tools, you can create work that resonates.
They say, ‘nothing is created in a vacuum,’ and this is especially true of design. It combines, reworks, and makes allusions, using visual references and symbolism to resonate with the viewer and create a connection through a shared visual or social experience.
This design philosophy and process for developing informed work is summarized by the acronym C.A.R.V.E.
CARVE stands for:
- Capture references
- Analog – create sketches – on paper!
- Refine –
- Vectorize –
- Execute – Make everything perfect for print
“Make Great Art”: As Neil Gaiman famously said in his graduation speech, creating constantly and constantly is everything. You have to show up and create regardless of what life throws at you.
Iterate for Impact: But beyond just making art for art’s sake, I also believe in the power of iteration. What can we learn by looking at modern methods of refining ads and marketing materials based on customer feedback and engagement? How can we use data to not just inform, but to inspire, and to create work that resonates with your audience? This is the modern form of critique: you have to ask for, accept, and incorporate feedback from buyers and retailers. Because honestly, without the sale, if the art or design doesn’t move out into the world, you can’t keep making more of it.
I believe in a holistic arts process—one that bridges the gap between mediums, production methods, and distribution platforms. This iterative approach allows me to create work that is personally meaningful, layered with symbolism, and commercially viable. Each project then circles back around to inform the next design or line.
Today’s graphic designers have evolved into photographers, interior decorators, stylists, product developers, content creators, social media managers, and data analysts. Similarly, content developers must now master the skills of videographers, editors, and motion graphics artists.
Integrating these practical business and marketing aspects directly into the creative process is essential. For me, interdisciplinary design, networking, and reciprocity are the foundations of a successful practice—a continuous evolution of listening, learning, and iterating.
